These are several different definitions found in policies that explain homemaker services. Homemaker services are incidental duties provided to those receiving home health care. These services are usually done by your professional care provider who may even be providing medical attention during the same visit. Chore Care (Incidental Homemaker Services) are services incidental to care with the Activities of Daily Living which provide one or more of the following non-medical support services: meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, supervising self-administration of medication, and shopping for food, medical supplies or medication. Homemaker Services are household services done by someone other than yourself because you're unable to do them. Home Care Services are services incidental to care with the Activities of Daily Living which provide one or more of the following non-medical support services: meal preparation, laundry, light house- keeping, supervising self-administration of medication, and shopping for food, medical supplies or medication. Incidental Homemaker Services are services incidental to care with the Activities of Daily Living which provide one or more of the following non-medical support services: meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, supervising self-administration of medication, and shopping for food, medical supplies or medication. Instrumental Activities of Daily Living are activities such as telephoning, bill paying, grocery shopping, cooking, doing laundry, taking medicine, and housekeeping.
