Home or Community Based Services

Adult Day Care is provided in a community- based setting where the patient is receiving care during the day while the primary caregiver is still working. Churches and community centers may offer this type of care.

Adult Day Care Centers are private or non- profit programs that cater to elderly people with pronounced disabilities. Some may specialize in providing services to elders.

Community-Based Services are services designed to help older people stay independent and in their own homes. These services include home health care, adult day care, hospice and in some cases assisted-living facilities.

Home Health Care is medical and non-medical services provided in your home. These services can be provided by licensed professionals ranging from a home health aide to a registered nurse.
