Facility Care

Assisted Living Facility is a transitional form of housing for the elderly that combines largely independent living with onsite services such as transportation, meals, access to regular medical attention, assistance with personal care, and on-call emergency medical care; or meets the following: 

  • 24-hour on-site staff to provide Custodial Care

  • provides Custodial Care services for a charge, including room and board

  • has procedures for obtaining appropriate aid in the event of a medical emergency

  • provides 3 meals a day and accommodates special dietary needs

  • provides Custodial Care services to 10 or more persons

 

Nursing Home - is a licensed facility operated to provide Nursing Care for a charge (including room and board) according to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is located. It must have services performed under the continual and direct supervision of a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse on-site 24 hours per day. 

Skilled Nursing Facility - A nursing facility with the staff to give skilled nursing care and/or rehabilitation services and other related health services.
